Coming Soon . . .

Hi folks! Yes, we are enjoying being back on the water - although Boogaboo is yet to leave the marina for the first time this year :-( That said, I do have some pics & videos to share, but been working late a lot lately and time is scarce to post them here.

 Ya, we had a blast at the Lagoon City Marina 'Welcome Back' party this past Saturday &, wouldn't you know it, one of the newest guests of the marina actually ended up on a picnic table belting out - what else - some Frank Sinatra!

 More to come soon . . .

Work Of Art

It's with great sadness that I'm passing on the news that Art Batty - 'Work Of Art' - from Keswick Marine has suddenly left us.

 Apparently he fell from the deck of his boat this past week and drowned in front of his beloved boat, 'Work Of Art'.

 A tragic turn of events, but at the very least he ended his days at the place he loved the most. As all of us knew, Art was at his boat every day of the year and seemed to be the most happy there. . .

Back On The Water Again :-)

 ---------------------------------------------------

Well, after long last, we are back on the water. Back to enjoying those Friday evenings on the boat & dreaming about getting away once the weather warms up a bit.

Going away - what the heck am I talking about? We don't even have the water turned on at the slips yet, so I might be rushing things somewhat.. Still be needing Mother Nature to send us (and the service team at the marina) an indication that we won't see any more freezing temps at night. Something about freezing temps and freezing water lines :-/

 That said, Anchor Girl & I were lucky enough to spend the entire weekend on the boat & I was able to fill our fresh water tank before the boat went in, so we should be good for this upcoming weekend, as well.

 Here's another shot of our, as of yet, very quiet surroundings;

Shrink Wrap Off Boogaboo

This past weekend I took advantage of both three days off and cooperating weather to remove the shrink wrap from the boat and polish the hull sides. Anchor Girl joined me on Saturday to clean the boat and help get Boogaboo ready for relaunch, which happens this Friday :-)

 All in all, I was able to get almost everything done that was needed for the big splash. With any luck, we won't have to deal with the high winds - and snow - that I experienced for last year's launch.

 Here's a video I put together form the weekend's work;
